Fun & Creative Ways to Bring Sound Healing into Events

As a sound practitioner, nothing brings me more joy than sharing the power of sound healing. I do this by matching people with their own singing bowls, running sound baths and I also offer private and corporate events

I can bring my set of Quartz Singing Bowls, a Crystal Pyramid, Zaphir chimes and a grounding Practitioners Singing Bowl to you and guide your group through a sound journey. We can tailor the session to work for you, whether you’re holding some kind of celebration or are taking time to focus on wellbeing. Decide who you’d like to attend, where we set up and how it flows with the rest of your day.

I’ve been invited to create some amazing events and brought sound healing to people in unique and interesting ways. Here are a few examples to spark ideas for your own event.

hen do

Why not do something a bit different for your hen do? A bridesmaid I worked with hired me to lead the group through a self care afternoon at her house. I held a cacao ceremony, Sound Bath, tarot cards, a fire ceremony and intention setting. After their nourishing afternoon, they went on their night out! It was a nice balance between alternative and traditional.

baby shower

Sound healing is a nice alternative baby shower idea too. Mothers-to-be could definitely do with some relaxation. Part of the power of singing bowls is setting intentions of what you’d like to receive from them. You could write down the intentions for the new baby and give them to the mother-to-be as a lovely keepsake from her baby shower.

corporate wellbeing

Wellbeing in the workplace is so important and it’s amazing to see companies being proactive about looking after their teams. A sound bath is a great option for a wellbeing day because it induces relaxation in a matter of minutes. All participants need to do is lie there and let the sound waves wash over them. They’ll leave feeling more centred and grounded. It could even become a regular event in your company calendar to keep stress at bay!

give back to givers

The people who are the best at looking after others aren’t always the best at looking after themselves! A sound bath experience is perfect for public sector workers who are under a lot of pressure to deliver. They could very easily get stuck in fight or flight and the sound waves of the singing bowls help them break out of the cycle of stress. During the pandemic, I was hired by a doctor’s surgery to run a sound bath for their team and they loved it. Then post-pandemic I ran a retreat for frontline workers and those on low income, offering them a reduced rate and an opportunity to reconnect with themselves and nature.

sports recovery

Did you know that singing bowls accelerate recovery from intense exercise? When I’ve played singing bowls at gyms and sports centres, participants have built up a sweat in an exercise class or training session, then they’ve come to the sound bath as part of their recovery and cool down. The sound waves activate the parasympathetic nervous system which leads to cellular repair. It’s a great yin and yang of working your body and then helping it relax and restore.

to end an ecstatic dance

You might already know that I’m a big fan of ecstatic dance and 5Rhythms. I find it’s a great practice for not just moving my body but reconnecting with myself, dropping inwards and supporting my mental wellbeing. So I loved the opportunity I had to combine ecstatic dance with sound healing. After a 2 hour energetic session, the body is so ready for relaxation, restoration and receiving time. I could see how still everyone’s bodies were as the singing bowls allowed them to drop into a meditative state easily.

Has this inspired you to bring sound healing into an upcoming event?

Sound is such an incredible tool that compliments and enhances many other practices. I’d love to see how we can integrate it into your private or corporate event.

Contact me or book a discovery call and I can help you plan your event considering how many people will be involved, where you are holding it and your main focus for the session.
